Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small text file that a website can place on your device to recognise your browser later. Local storage and session storage work in a similar way: they let a site keep a small piece of information inside your browser instead of a file on your device's disk, either permanently (local storage) or only until the tab is closed (session storage). We refer to all of these together as "storage" in this policy, since that is what actually happens on zurichluxurycarrental.ch.

zurichluxurycarrental.ch does not set any cookies of its own. We have not installed analytics software, advertising trackers or social-media tracking pixels on the site. We do not build visitor profiles and we do not share browsing data with advertising networks, because none is collected in the first place.

The table above lists every piece of browser storage used on the site. One local-storage entry remembers that you closed the cookie notice. One session-storage entry remembers which car you clicked so that the enquiry form can open already filled in with that car; it disappears as soon as you close the tab or submit the form. Neither entry contains your name, email, phone number or any other contact detail.

Two third-party requests happen when a page loads. Web fonts are retrieved from Google Fonts, and the phone-number field in our enquiry forms loads a small library from the jsDelivr content delivery network. Both are ordinary web requests needed to display the page correctly, and both mean that Google, respectively jsDelivr's operator, receives your IP address as part of that request, in the same way any server sees the IP address of a visitor asking for a file. Neither of these requests sets a cookie for us.

WhatsApp buttons work differently again. Tapping one of them opens WhatsApp; nothing happens on our site until you click. At the moment of the click, we record the page URL, the referrer, the language of the page and the prefilled message text in our own booking system, so that our team has context when you message us. The conversation that follows takes place on WhatsApp itself, operated by Meta, under WhatsApp's own privacy policy, not ours.

You can view, block or delete local storage and session storage through your browser's settings, usually under privacy or site data. Clearing your browser's storage for zurichluxurycarrental.ch will simply make the cookie notice reappear and reset the prefilled car selection; it has no other effect on your booking enquiries, which are stored separately in our own systems once you send them. If you block requests to Google Fonts or jsDelivr, the page will still work, though it may display with a fallback font or without automatic phone-number formatting.

This page is published to meet the information duty set out in Article 45c of the Swiss Telecommunications Act. If we ever decide to introduce optional cookies, for example for analytics, we will ask for your consent beforehand and update this page to describe exactly what is set and why.
