Zurich Luxury Car Rental operates the website zurichluxurycarrental.ch and offers luxury, sports, convertible, SUV, electric and supercar rental, minivan hire, chauffeur-driven transfers and airport delivery in and around Zurich, Switzerland. These Terms apply to every rental arranged with us, regardless of the vehicle category or the channel used to make the enquiry. By sending an enquiry, confirming a quote or taking delivery of a vehicle, the client accepts these Terms in full. Where a written quote contains more specific conditions for a particular booking, those conditions take precedence over this general page to the extent they conflict.

No booking can be completed directly on the website. A client submits an enquiry form, giving name, email, optional phone number, the car of interest if any, the intended pick-up and drop-off dates, and, for airport delivery, a flight number, or contacts us by email, phone or WhatsApp. We review availability and reply with a written quote covering the car, dates, price, deposit and any conditions specific to that rental. A booking is only confirmed once the client has accepted that quote in writing and we have sent written confirmation back. Until that confirmation is issued, no vehicle is reserved and no rate is guaranteed.

Day rates published on the website start from €210 and depend on the vehicle, the rental period, mileage allowance, delivery location and any chauffeur service requested. The final price for a given booking is the one stated in the written quote, not any indicative figure shown on the website beforehand. Insurance cover is included as described in that quote. Fuel, tolls, fines, extra mileage beyond the agreed allowance, additional drivers, out-of-hours delivery and optional services such as chauffeur driving are charged separately unless the quote states otherwise.

We do not process card payments on the website. Payment terms, instalments if any, and accepted payment methods are set out in the written quote and confirmed before handover. In addition to the rental price, a refundable security deposit is held on a credit card in the main driver's name, ranging from €1,500 to €250,000 depending on the vehicle booked. The deposit secures the vehicle against damage, missing fuel, unpaid fines and tolls, and any other sums due under these Terms. It is released after the vehicle has been returned and once outstanding fines and tolls have been checked; amounts corresponding to any damage, fuel shortfall or unpaid charges are deducted before release.

Swiss law does not grant consumers a general statutory right of withdrawal for a service such as a car rental booked online, by telephone or by WhatsApp. The cancellation terms below are a voluntary commercial policy offered by Zurich Luxury Car Rental and apply instead of any withdrawal right. Cancellation is free of charge up to 48 hours before the start of the rental. If the booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the start of the rental, the first rental day is charged. Requests to change dates or the booked vehicle are handled individually once received in writing at [email protected] and are subject to availability; a change may be treated as a cancellation and new booking if it cannot be accommodated on the originally agreed terms.

We may cancel, shorten, postpone or substitute a confirmed booking with an equivalent vehicle where this is required by severe weather, a safety concern, a technical fault affecting the booked car, or any event of force majeure beyond our reasonable control, including events affecting roads around Zurich or the client's intended route. In such cases we will inform the client as soon as practicable and offer an alternative vehicle or date where available, or refund any amount already paid for the affected period. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as missed flights, events or accommodation, arising from a cancellation made for these reasons.

The main driver must be at least 25 years old and hold a driving licence for at least 3 years, for all vehicles in our fleet. At handover, the main driver must present a valid driving licence, a passport or identity card, and a credit card in their own name for the security deposit; holders of non-EU licences may be required to produce an International Driving Permit. At handover we record the vehicle's condition, fuel level and mileage together with the client; the same checks are carried out on return, and any discrepancy is noted and charged as set out in these Terms. Because each booking is matched to the client's actual route rather than to a generic fleet list, vignette provisioning and winter tyre readiness for mountain destinations such as Davos or St. Moritz, or for lakeside routes through Zollikon and Küsnacht, are confirmed before handover; chauffeur service remains available on request for airport-to-villa or event transfers, while self-drive is the default arrangement.

The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at handover; any missing fuel is charged at cost plus a refuelling service fee. The mileage allowance applicable to a booking is the one stated in the written quote for that rental, and mileage beyond that allowance is charged accordingly. Traffic fines, tolls and parking charges incurred during the rental period are the renter's responsibility; where such charges are notified to us after the rental, we pass them on to the client together with an administrative fee.

Insurance cover is provided as described in the written quote. In the event of at-fault damage during the rental, the renter is liable for the insurance excess, which may be deducted from the security deposit. Driving abroad, participation in track days and off-road driving are not permitted unless approved by us in writing in advance. Smoking and the carriage of pets inside the vehicles are not allowed. Use of a vehicle for racing, instruction, sub-hire, carriage of passengers for reward, or any unlawful purpose is prohibited and will void insurance cover for the relevant period, leaving the renter fully liable for any resulting loss or damage.

Our liability towards the client is limited to direct damage caused by our own fault in the performance of a confirmed booking and, where a security deposit is held, does not exceed the amount of that deposit, except where damage results from wilful misconduct or gross negligence on our part. We are not liable for losses caused by third parties, including WhatsApp or Meta in connection with messages exchanged on that platform, or by circumstances outside our control such as those described in the cancellation section above. Any complaint about a booking should be sent to [email protected] with the booking reference and a description of the issue, and we will respond in writing within a reasonable time. The content of zurichluxurycarrental.ch, including vehicle descriptions, photographs and pricing information, is provided for the purpose of enquiries and quotes only and may not be reproduced without our consent; it does not itself constitute a binding offer capable of acceptance without a written confirmation from us.

These Terms and every booking made under them are governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland. The courts at the registered place of business of Zurich Luxury Car Rental have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with a booking, subject to any mandatory consumer forum available to the client. We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services or operations; the version published on zurichluxurycarrental.ch at the time a booking is confirmed applies to that booking, and later changes do not affect bookings already confirmed.
